Laser Marking

Laser marking is a preferred method for adding tracability barcodes to products. The quality of the barcode is excellent, while adding no consumables or maintenance costs. Typical applications include 2D or 1D barcodes with a human readable text duplicate. Chism Automation partners with Keyence utilizing the MD-X series markers for most applications. Focal distance is adjustable and the system has the ability to apply marking to a contoured 3D surface. An onboard barcode reader is available for use to confirm barcode integrity. The systems are capable of marking a wide variety of materials including aluminum, steel, plastics, and wood.
